A note to our community regarding COVID-19

Update: April 3, 2020

In support of the medical teams fighting to protect our health, we have transitioned our Seattle manufacturing to produce ASTM Level 1 masks for 51 hospitals in the Providence network. The materials are being provided by Kaas Tailored, and we’re humbled to join their efforts to meet the needs of the heroic healthcare community. All masks are allocated to aid in the personal protective equipment (PPE) shortage. We will not be selling masks directly at this time.

To our Cascade Designs family,

As the world changes rapidly around us, we hope that you are safe and able to enjoy the rejuvenation of the outdoors in a responsible way. Our teams at Therm-a-Rest, MSR, SealLine, Platypus and PackTowl are focused on protecting the health and wellbeing of our employees and that of our communities.

In these unprecedented times, our thoughts are with everyone personally affected by the spread of COVID-19 and we are grateful for the medical staff working on the frontlines.

As many of us operate from home, we’re also focused on being here for you. We’re working hard to continue to be your resource for information and inspiration. Our lines are open and our North American website is taking orders.

If you need a dose of adventure stoke, check out our brand blogs and YouTube channels for everything from gear maintenance tips to future trip ideas. Or just say hi to us on social.

As adventurers, we know things can go sideways fast, but it’s how we respond that makes all the difference. Right now, our ability to adapt and truly be there for each other like never before will allow us to navigate this extraordinary challenge and emerge even stronger—together.

From all of us at Cascade Designs, stay safe, stay creatively social, keep looking up.

Essential Gear

  • A necklace of St. Michael that my mom gave me, blessed by her priest. I have literally had it on for 20+ years! She told me if I wear it, I will always come home from expeditions...
  • A necklace with a small statue of my daughter that I have had on since she was born, so 13 years now.
  • A necklace with crystal from the top of a climb in Antarctica. This tower was named Bertha's Tower after my grandmother. This crystal is a token in honor of her.
