Adam is based in Portland, Oregon-a quiet big town city in the Pacific Northwest. He spends most of his time outside, whether it’s working as an arborist or playing in one of the many amazing zones that surround the city. He enjoys whitewater kayaking, trail running, surfing and exploring to increase his appreciation of natural spaces. Nights under the stars rarely get old.
Who introduced you to outdoor spaces?
My parents were looking for an activity to help bolster my mental health. I had aggression issues and was often depressed. Martial arts, intramural sports, extra classes, we did all of it. When that was no longer as easily available to us after a move to the southwest they found a rock-climbing gym and sent me there to try it. I was hooked. Seeing how much I liked it and how it helped my mental health they made every effort to keep me interested and active in outdoor spaces.
