Essential Gear

I currently own a WindBurner Stove, and it has been nothing short of a lifesaver after a faulty Jet Boil® failed during my most recent road trip out west, which I immediately returned for the Windburner. This little stove has elevated my cooking game from only having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to being able to make hot soups and healthier meals on the go.

How did you find your passion for the outdoors?

I stumbled on my love of the outdoors recently to be honest. Growing up, no one in my family ever went outdoors for more than a family get-together, so I had no role model who showed me any of what I enjoy now about being on the trails. I spent a lot of time hanging with the wrong crowd, partying and getting into trouble whenever I could, but that all changed one day when some old friends decided to take me hiking and I’ve never looked back. I’ve found more peace in the outdoors than in anything else I’ve tried in my life.
